Had you been a skateboarder before the show?
I learned how to skateboard on my dad's old skateboard when my dad told me about Dogtown because he was around at that time. I thought it was so cool, and eventually I got my own and it became how I got around.

How are you like Zeke in real life?
He's extremely passionate about skateboarding. He's a really all-or-nothing type of guy, and I feel like I'm the same way with acting. I adore acting -- I think it's the greatest thing in the world. So I really connect with his passion and how focused he is. He can be almost a little too serious. Sometimes he doesn't really look at the bright side as much. Don't get me wrong -- he's a really cool character, he's a really cool guy, but I've always been a little more goofy than he is and he's a little more serious.
