From the beginning a lot of people had high expectations from you. Did you feel a lot of pressure?
Absolutely. I felt like I had so much on me in the beginning of the show that I had to outdo myself every week. I was like, man, I'm still growing as a musician, yet people expect this to come out of me, and I felt like at times I was just wasn't there yet. I don't think the show really ever works out. Now I say that lightly because I've only watched really one season of the show. That was last year. That's why I wanted to try out. But since there's so much expectancy on one person, people would tend to get disappointed. But then when you see another person where there's no expectancy on them, they'll show up, and they can possibly just wow the crowd because people just weren't expecting it.
