When you finished your song on Tuesday, the audience seemed behind you. Is that the impression you got?
It really was. I even saw Randy and Simon clap and Paula enjoying it. I thought that it was one of those performances everybody was pretty much into it. It was great -- I really enjoyed Tuesday.

How do you pick songs?
We have vocal coaches -- mine is Bird. Her and Dorian are awesome. I'd go to them and let them know how I was feeling each week. If I wanted to do a fast song or if it was a week to do a slower song, then we would do that. It depended on how I felt and what I wanted America to see me as.
