In "Not Fair," you talk about this guy who's great in all ways except for one. What kinds of traits are you looking for in a guy?
I guess the guy that I would go out with would need to have some similar political views, things like that. [We'd] have to be on the same page, really.

Your lyrics are always very diary-like in that they're unabashedly honest. But do you ever feel like you can be too open in a song?
No, not really. There's nothing wrong with saying what you mean. I just write -- I don't think anything of it really. It's just what I think. I feel comfortable with it, so I write it.
