Did you get to write any of the songs for the album?
I didn't write anything on this first album. I wrote one a little earlier today, but I didn't want to subject anybody to that yet. I'm still learning in the writing process. I love to sing songs that really speak to me, so I definitely took some time with the song treatment process.

How does it feel to go from being the backup to being the front person?
Scary, definitely, but it's also exciting because I learn so much about myself and I learn that I love, love, love just to play for people. I didn't think that stepping out front was going to be scaring me to the point of not wanting to do it, but I love every second of it. I feel a bit nervous but when I get out there on that stage and I'm in the studio, I love it.
