What's been your most memorable interview?
For years [I looked up to] Jennifer Lopez, so that was a fun moment for me to interview her. Another great one was Tom Cruise. He and the whole cast of Mission: Impossible III came on and we kind of had a MI3 day on TRL, and he was just so gracious and so humble. He introduced himself to everyone. He was just like, "Hi, I'm Tom." And I was just like, "Yeah, I think I know who you are." He went to the control room afterwards and shook everybody's hand and said, "Thank you for having me on the show," which nobody has every done -- not in the three years I hosted TRL. He was on the entire show, and instead of going backstage, he would stay out in the stage area and let the audience ask questions and had conversations with the kids, and usually that never happens. Whatever celebrity we're interviewing that day, they always go backstage during commercial break. It was really cool. He just wanted to stay and answer questions and talk about the movie and stuff and kids loved that.
