What has it been like without Samaire as a regular on the show?
We really, really miss her. Her energy was absolutely incredible. She's the nicest person in the world, so professional. We really miss having her presence 'cause everyone seems to represent a different frequency of the prism that is the Darlings. We have characters ranging from Trip Darling, this incredible patriarch, to Jeremy Darling, who has no idea what he's doing with his life. Samaire was a perfect balance of that spectrum -- she was an Audrey Hepburn-type character like Breakfast at Tiffany's, and we really miss having that presence. We want her back and the writers want her back, so it's just a matter of time.

Do you think she'll be back as a guest star?
I think so. She has to. We all want her back so much it's just the circumstances.
