There was an uproar about the murder plotline last season. People didn't see it as true to Landry's character. What's your take?
I knew there was going to be a shock, but we started season one off with Jason Street becoming paralyzed at the final game, so I knew people were going to talk about it. But I didn't really think of it as being completely unrealistic because everything kind of happens. If it was some big plot, like Landry says, "I'm going to go kill this guy," then yeah, that'd be a bit much. But it happened in a moment of him just reacting, him just trying to protect her, and things just got out of hand. He didn't think about it, it just happened. I don't think you can really say what's realistic and what's unrealistic when you're in those moments when you don't have time to think about anything. So I didn't really think of it as unrealistic, but I think by the end of the season, most people kind of got the relationship between Tyra and Landry and it made for a really intense connection between these two characters, which was really fun to play.
