Playing a doctor on TV, have you ever forgotten that you're not a doctor in real life?
I've never forgotten that I'm not really a doctor. I definitely feel like working on the show and the amount that we've had to study and understand about medicine has helped me just have a little bit more of a general base of information. I'm certainly nowhere near being a doctor, but it's nice to have a bit of general information. I had a friend once who was all worried about this pain that she had in her lower back, and she was like, "Oh, my gosh, is it my kidneys?" and I was like, "No, it's a knot in your muscle." So little things where I certainly could never be a real doctor or diagnose stuff, at least I have a little daily knowledge.
What kind of doctor would you be if you were one?
I would probably want to do pediatrics. I would probably want to work with kids.
