How did Justin Timberlake get involved with the movie?
I'm man enough to admit that I have a man crush [on Justin Timberlake]. I put it to the table: would you not have a man crush on Justin Timberlake? I've got a man crush on him! He's got zero percent body fat, he's the nicest dude you'll ever meet, [and] he does his homework. He's hilarious. He is the most talented human being I've ever met in my life. He did some really hilarious stuff on SNL. So I called him up and I said, "I'd love for you to play this French Canadian goalie, named Jacques 'The Coq' Grande, or Jacques Grande. He is the most well endowed player in the National Hockey League, and he's kind of from the '70s, and he kind of has funny ways." I started to do the character for him, and he got it instantly and he said, "Send me a script," [and] I sent him a script, and he called me back and he said, "When do we start and what do I wear?" And he knocked it out of the park.
