You've said you don't want to be pigeonholed into any certain genre, but Fueled By Ramen artists tend to get labeled as emo. Have you run into problems like that?
You're always gonna have problems like. But it's our job to go against the grain and prove people wrong because we aren't just a typical pop-punk band. Yeah, we do have those influences, but at the same time, it's very, very different. We're just trying to cross over, like Gym Class Heroes at first. They were thrown into the genre, but they're hip-hop so their CDs are trying to go to the more hip-hop community. And we love being put into the same category as the people we've looked up to, such as Fall Out Boy and Panic, but at the same time, we're trying to get out there so people that don't necessarily listen to this genre will hopefully listen to our music.
