So did you read the Narnia books growing up?
I had, when I was 8. I used to read a chapter to my dad and then he'd read one back to me as a reward. He'd use silly voices. I remember the first three books and I watched the TV series when I was 8 as well, which was the perfect time. You're looking up, thinking, "I wish I could be Peter."

What was the audition process like?
Really, really quick. I literally did one reading of one scene on camera, and then I did a screen test the next weekend for the director and the producer, and three or four weeks later, I was on a horse in New Zealand. I knew it was going to be quick because they'd been looking for such a long time, and I knew that they were in pre-production, ready to start shooting. I was like, "You need someone -- it might as well be me!"
