When we saw a recent picture of Ryan Cabrera, we literally did a double take. Where was the boy with the spiky blonde hair?! Naturally, we had to get to the bottom of this. Read on to hear about Ryan's new album, his new look, and his reaction to his ex Ashlee Simpson's recent engagement!

You've called your new album, The Moon Under Water, your best work to date. Why is that?
It's the most real as far as from an honest and personal level. When I was writing the record, it was really the first time I actually took my time to make it true to who I was. As I was writing my first couple records, they're all real -- I was never lying in my stories or anything, but now that I'm 25, there's just a lot more life in the songs. That comes from letting go and doing your own thing and not listening to anybody.
