Coming off Making the Band, did you think that you would be this successful?
Brian: I was kind of nervous because I watched previous seasons. The first band that Diddy picked didn't really go platinum and they debuted at number two. And then they broke up. My big fear was that people wouldn't take us seriously.
Willie: Before Making the Band was even in existence, we had been going through the same stuff every other artist had been through -- making a demo tape, recording day in and day out. And actually, we weren't really intent on doing Making the Band [at first]. People thought it was just a gimmick, and I didn't want my career to be looked at as a joke. The stuff you've seen on TV is one thing, but we were struggling long before that.
