What drew you to Iron Man?
It was a concurrence of things. I had taken time off and was happy being home. Then when my son was about six months old, I started to feel an urge to work again, but I thought, "No, I can't work until he's a year." I had given my daughter all this time at home, so I wanted to do the same for him. When it was just about a year, Jon [Favreau, the director,] called and told me about the project. He was like, "It's gonna be an entertaining summer movie, but it will be good, I promise you. I make good movies, and it's gonna be good." And it was really that. I'd always wanted to work with Robert ever since I was little, and if you're an American actor, Jeff Bridges is like God -- he's The Big Lebowski and all these amazing roles. How do you say no to that group of people? It's impossible!
