How are you like and unlike your character in the movie, April?
I was like my character in my early twenties in the way that I was definitely nomadic and definitely someone who was apolitical and someone who really didn't want to be defined by anything yet. I would say I'm not like my character in the way that she says exactly what she thinks despite what the ramifications whereas I tend to take a beat and to assess whether it hurt someone's feelings or not before I say something or if it's inappropriate.

What do you like about April?
I just like the fact that she's really outspoken and she's someone who had a really rich emotional arch. She begins the movie in one way and ends finding out who she is. And also, she's someone who's not really afraid of love, who learns not to be afraid. I thought that was pretty sweet. I just think she speaks the truth -- you gotta respect her for that.
