Are you artistic in real life?
I do a lot of music and a lot of acting and did a lot of painting. When we were doing the film, Julie had me hook up with an artist, and we hung out a lot and spent a lot of time together -- just hung out in the studio and listened to music, just drawing and painting. He really encouraged me to sketch and draw everyday.

What was it like doing the singing live?
It was intense. The hardest thing was just breaking out into songs. The way that it had to be done in order for the music to be recorded live was that the music was only playing in our ears, so no one in the room could hear any music at all. So we just had an entire orchestra playing in our heads, but the rest of the room and like the 400 extras that might have been there that day can't hear a note. They can just hear you singing on top of your voice. So that's a little intimidating. And no matter how good you are at singing, you never sound great without a great band behind you.
