Emo has been getting a bad rap these days. Why do you think that's the case?
I think because it's popular right now, and that's pretty much the only reason. There are so many terrible metal bands, and there are so many terrible rock bands and alternative bands. They're just horrible. If I say emo, then it's like, "What's he doing? Why he'd say emo?" You're not supposed to say it. It's what's popular right now. It's the genre that people are most likely to associate with the downfall of music, which is what everyone does once something becomes popular, like when metal was popular or grunge.
