Your past albums have had themes or stories. Do you have a concept for this album?
It's a concept in a different way than What To Do When You Are Dead -- that was a definite story line from front to back. There are definitely a lot of themes in this CD and some common threads running through it. It's not a "story." There's an umbrella theme to the record, which is something different from the past two records.

What made you decide to change it up this time around?
I had an awesome time writing What To Do When You Are Dead. But this time around, being able to step outside and write about things that I was observing in my life [and] people around me, I had an opportunity to be an observer and step outside the box. I think that was liberating for me. I was excited to get to work.
