You have a tendency to play real life characters -- Chris McCandless in Into The Wild, Jay Adams in Lords of Dogtown, Johnny Truelove/Jesse James Hollywood in Alpha Dog. What draws you to them?
I'm definitely very excited by them. I like non-real life characters as well, but there is something fun about the real life ones -- there's just this well of information. I find reality pretty fascinating.

Is there more pressure when you're playing a real life character?
Sometimes you kind of feel that because you don't want to disappoint them [or] the memory of them for the family or people who knew him.
