But now that he's here, Trey (born Tremaine Aldon Neverson) isn't looking back: he's got a new album, two hot singles, and legions of fans. If today isn't Trey Day, we don't know what is! We chatted with the red-hot R&B star about Degrassi, childhood dreams, and how he got his stage name. (He even taught us some Japanese!)

Do you feel a lot of pressure for this album to get a great reception because of the success of your first album, Gotta Make It?
I kind of like that. There's no way for me to go but up. The record's picking up very fast, and I think my fans have been waiting and anticipating, so I think they're gonna go out and do what it do for me.
