Tell us about Sydney White and why you wanted to play her.
I really like the concept of this movie. I like the fact that it was a modern retelling of Snow White. I was really honored to ask to play that character because there were a lot of actresses who wanted that role. So I feel very lucky. I was just excited, because I thought she was a funny character. She’s you know, a total tomboy -- kind of a good role model for girls.
Sydney White is all about embracing your inner dork. What makes your dorky in real life?
I think a lot of things. But I would say the thing that makes me dorky is I wear glasses, but right now I’m wearing contacts. [Also] I don’t really like to go out. I do once in a while, but I’m really not that cool enough to go out all the time!
So no dorky comic books like Sydney in the movie?
No, I do actually! That actually was something that wasn't in the script, but I showed the director my photos of me when I was young with all my comic books around me on my floor. So they added that in.
