How'd you guys choose your band name?
We used to have the name "Sunday Drive," and we had our hearts set on that when we first started the band but there was a Christian vocal group form Missouri called Sunday Drive, so we were forced to change it. There was like two weeks where we were arguing over changing it, and then Matt [Watts] came up with "The Starting Line" and that was great because it's something people can remember. Some of the guys in the band don't like the name anymore, but I like it because it's easy to remember and it's not like, "Bowling For Soup."
So when do you guys decide that you've reached the finish line in terms of your career?
The finish line is once you're out of ideas, once the magic's gone. There's not a finish line in sight right now -- we're just starting a new beginning. We've definitely still got the magic going -- the romance is still in it.
