How are you like your character in the movie?
The connection I can see is that Kenny feels like people his age don't understand him and he's looking for a connection. I'm not saying I feel wildly over-sophisticated or on a different intellectual level of people my own age, but having grown up quite young and quickly as an actor, I can understand that. He's got a great sense of the present and not worrying about the future or dwelling on the past, and that's something I possibly need to do more and I can learn from. You know when you're walking down the street and you say, "Oh I'd love to do that -- that'd be so funny. I'd love to talk to that person," and people generally restrain themselves from doing it? Kenny is young and youthful and he will do those things that sometimes you want to do, but you don't have the guts to do.
