Are you a fan of all things vampire?
Yeah, it's one of those things you grow up and you read about vampires and you hear the tales and you watch Interview with the Vampire. I've always been intrigued by them, so it's really cool to be a part of something, especially now, when everything's blowing up in that genre.

What attracted you to Elena?
I liked the whole back story when you read into the books, and the character is really appealing. My character is similar to myself in personality and just the way she is. It was really funny reading the script -- there's lots of little witty moments and there's lots of dramatic moments and there's a lot of mystery. There's just all these different aspects of different genres just all piled up into one, which really attracted me to it.
