Were you like Jennifer or Needy in high school?
I was somewhere in between. I wasn't [as] laid back as Needy. She's pretty comfortable with herself. She has a BFF who treats her like crap, but they have this relationship that means a lot to both of them. They've been friends since childhood and that means something. I did talk behind my friends' backs -- I was insecure and sometimes my friends treated me like crap. I wasn't popular: I didn't get the boys and absolutely didn't get nominated for homecoming queen, which I wanted. All my friends got nominated. They never got it, but it was something. Boys didn't think I was beautiful and want to hook up with me, so that felt like a loss at that age, but it wasn't my time to focus on that.

They're probably all kicking themselves now.
Sometimes I hope so, but at the same time, I see a lot of them every Christmas and they all treat me the same. It's actually better.
