Hey guys --

This is my very first post on alloy.com. I figured I would introduce myself. My name is Vince, I am about 5' 11" when I stand up straight. I have blonde hair, blue eyes, and I'm pretty skinny. Everyone says I should eat a hamburger (and everyone that tells me that probably thinks they're the first person to say it to me). Anyway, I'm the singer in a band called Army of Me. We're from Washington, DC, and we've been touring around for five years or so. We just put out a new record called Citizen, which I really like, and I think you will too, so def check it out.... So, hi, nice to meet you!

So, the big news this week is that MTV started playing our video!! Now, when MTV starts playing your video, a few things happen.

1. Immediately (like the very next day), huge sums of money start showing up in your mailbox. I've already purchased three cars and a hot tub with a glass bottom, so if you're walking underneath the hot tub, you can look up and see the people in the hot tub. It's pretty rad. I also got a pet tiger.

2. A tour bus showed up today in front of my house to pick me up for tour. So no more dirty, smelly, cramped 15-passenger van for touring!

3. Scarlett Johansson called to ask me out on a date. So I've got a hot celebrity date this weekend. Man, it's awesome to be on MTV!

HAHA... I'm j/k about all that, but having your video on MTV is pretty awesome. I remember watching MTV as a kid and dreaming of one day being on the TV, and now it's actually happened. Of course, I don't have cable, and I'm always on the road touring, so I haven't seen it yet. But I've gotten tons of text messages, calls, e-mails, etc, from friends who have seen it. So, I'm a bit jealous of those people!
