Rumors of a Comeback?

Goodbye, Lindsay Lohan the actress; hello, Lindsay Lohan, the pop star?! While acting has always been L.Lo's primary talent, sources tell the New York Daily News that she's been fishing around to record a new album. "Lindsay loves music," a friend says. "She loves writing songs." Still, the question remains as to whether her label wants her back for album #3. Before her recent tribulations, they were banging down Lindsay's door to record again, but the starlet was more focused on acting. Now that she's less likely to see scripts because of her high insurance price tag, LiLo's ready to go back to the studio. But is it too late? "As much as she wants to make another album, the feeling is she needs to get herself cleaned up," an insider says. "Then we can talk about it." Still, it's not out of the question, says one music exec. "A record by Lindsay Lohan costs almost nothing to make," the insider says. "She doesn't need a big band. You just give her some songs and session musicians. And, God knows, she already has name recognition." Um, you could call it that…
