Network Negotiations

Every year we gather round our TVs with big smiles to watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, and this year it could've been really gleeful, but alas, we'll just have to imagine what could've been. The cast of Glee was supposed to perform in the parade and while wardrobe and choreography were in the works, no contract had been signed, according to E!. The mix up was probably due to conflicting networks, as the parade airs on NBC, but Glee belongs to FOX and NBC never promotes cast members from competing programming. But what about all the American Idol alums who have since performed at the parade? They'd moved on from the show at the time of the parade. Aw! We'll just have to watch Glee the night before Thanksgiving, and that'll have to be enough...
