Prince Paolo

Hey --

I've had a really chilled one this week. The only thing I've had was a festival at Carcasonne in the south of France! I arrived at about two in the afternoon -- the weather was unbelievable. My family was there as well, so before sound check, I had some time to slip away for a bite to eat. The festival itself is held in an outdoor amphitheater in the grounds of a castle with the rest of the town built around it, it was like a medieval village...even our dressing room was built in a spire! The band and I climbed the stairs to the top and had a few beers before the gig to take advantage of the sun and views....

We played quite a long set compared to usual, mainly due to the fact that we were all enjoying it so much. The setting was unbelievable, and we even saw a few familiar faces in the crowd that have been to a lot of the shows recently. Donny and I tried out a new song for the first time as well. It was a cover of Fred Neil's "Everybody's Talking." We better watch out, or folks will start calling us a Fred Neil cover band as we've been singing "Dolphins" a lot as well. The guy has just written some amazing tunes!
