Ghouly Girl

Session starts now. Good news -- You don't have to play therapist this week. My mind is still in tact!

Ahhhhh, what a week...of hanging and getting spooked. Halloween already??? Not really, but it felt that way. So this week my family celebrated a special event at the Queen Mary in Long Beach, Calif. We rented a room there for two nights and partied all weekend. I never knew all the history of the Queen Mary, so staying there was like a short history lesson. Apparently, we stayed on the haunted section of the ship, which we didn't know till the end of our stay -- thank God!!

There were some weird things that happened, like hearing a little girl laughing in the bathroom or the random knocks on the walls at night. At the time, I thought nothing of it, but I reconsidered after attending the tour. There are crazy stories of the boiler rooms located underneath the water line, where tourists discover grease marks streaked across their face in the shape of fingers when passing through a metal door way, and one of the crewmembers was violently crushed in that doorway when the heavy metal door slammed shut during an emergency. Don't even get me started on the man who was boiled alive in his skin when one of the boilers exploded. Also, there are stories about a little girl named Jackie who loves to swim, leaving wet foot prints on the ground, and the lady in white who appears everywhere. So many stories, so little time.

But get this -- six years ago, the hotel closed down one of their rooms permanently due to strange and severe paranormal activity. A man mysteriously died in that room a few years prior, so the hotel changed around the room numbers so guests wouldn't know which room the man died in. However, the spooky room made itself known. The stories the guide told us were insane. He then pointed out that our room was right next to it. FREAKY!!! I am just relieved that I wasn't one of the guests who awoke with a man dressed all in black standing over the bed, or sheets being pulled off the bed in the middle of the night! We found out a lot of secret stories because I begged the tour guide for a short private tour after. That's when he took us into the room they shut down. SO AWESOME! I love stuff like that!

I want to make a movie about the life of the Queen Mary. There is so much history, from being a beautiful cruise ship catering to queens and movie stars; to being a transformed war ship traveling soldiers to battle; to colliding into a tanker boat, killing 250 people; and then being transformed back to a beautiful cruise ship again. She carries so many tragedies that she is now occupied by many permanent lost souls. OK, maybe I do need a therapy session. Anyway, the point is I had a lot of fun, and I see a blockbuster in the making.

Brandon left this week, and I was sad. Now, I have nobody to hike with or sneak over to In-N-Out with for burgers and no more movie nights either! :( However, I did go see Transformers. OMG, best movie ever! I loved it, and highly recommend making a trip to your local theater. After seeing the movie, I was pretty sure my car was a Transformer. I suddenly became 5 years old on the drive home. Good times!!

Well, now that the holiday is over, it's time to get productive. I have a lot of photo shoots coming up, so it's back to the no pizza days. Also, I am going to help open a new revolutionary gym with a partner of mine soon, meaning I am going to spend a good chunk of next week looking for places to lease. Did I mention that a couple weeks ago? Probably. Well, still at it. I tend to procrastinate!

There you have it. Just staying busy, keeping the flow. So, I was thinking -- it's been long enough now, I can officially call you my friend. So that's your new nickname for next week: BFF.

Stay true to thyself.

Peace --

Charity
