Wow! I've been doing a lot of press for The Invisible, and it's really been a whirlwind. I'm still not quite used to the fact that people want to talk to me and hear about my experience on the film. I know some consider it work, but I really like talking about films I have passion for, and The Invisible definitely falls into that category.
One funny thing that happens during interviews (and this is because you're often answering the same questions over and over again) is that you worry that you're boring the journalists! But one thing that you have to keep reminding yourself is that this particular journalist is hearing your answers for the first time.
Overall though, I think the promotion of the film is exciting. It's like you're finally starting to see the fruits of your labor. Plus, this is my time being on a movie poster. Sure I'm a silhouette, but it's me!!
There's some added pressure being in a main character role and having a lot of the focus on me, but I don't feel like I'm the "star" of the movie - The Invisible is such a product of a director's story and vision that I feel like David Goyer is the true star -- I'm just lucky he decided I could handle the part!
Only eight more days until The Invisible -- I can't wait!
-- Justin.
