Hi guys! I'm so excited to start this blog for you. I'll definitely keep in touch and keep you updated with what's going on with me, and fun stories from the road ;) So here it goes.
I am in Florida right now still on the High School Musical tour. It's been a different city every day. The last time I made it out to the mall a week or two ago, I somehow ended up buying more stuff for myself than Christmas gifts -- on accident!! I swear!! I was trying to find a new pair of jeans, and I didn't really have that much time to go try things on. I just needed to grab something and go, but of course you know that jeans are a hard thing to buy without trying them on! So I did my personal sizing trick.
What I do is, stick my arm in the waist of the pants, and if it fits from my elbow to my fingers, it should fit around my waist. I wasn't even thinking about it -- that trick is so second nature to me because I do it all the time, but after like 10 pairs of jeans I did that in, Larry the bodyguard and the store clerk all started looking at me weird, saying, "What the heck are you doing? Does that really work?" LOL, I was like, "Huh?" I didn't even know what they were talking about -- I didn't know it was weird!! Haha. Oh well, the answer is, I'm not sure if it really works, but it seems to work for me, so develop your own little trick to buying jeans, haha. That's your homework -- go find out what your personal trick is, then you can let me know!
A few weeks ago, I got this new videophone that lets me take videos of anything and everything to go straight to my YouTube channel. So because I've been walking around with a new phone taking videos (there are three cell phones in my pocket now) everyone's been asking me, "What is that? YouTube? Can I be on your YouTube channel?" So it's so much fun because now I'm making little movies and blogs with all my friends with everyone jumping around in front of the camera, haha. Maybe one of you guys can help me with my next video!! Haha, just let me know. I have this joke with the High School Musical tour bodyguard that I am going to try to get him a cameo in every single one of my YouTube clips, haha! He's running away from me now every time I turn on the camera. Hey! A bodyguard isn't supposed to run away!! LOL, I'll work on it with him.
Check my video phone fun backstage!
In the meantime between the holidays and the tour, my album release date is getting closer and closer, and I can definitely feel it! There is so much to do! I want everything to be great for you guys. It has been a really amazing experience being able to perform some of the songs from the album, live on stage on the tour. The first day of the tour, I was so nervous, literally couldn't speak, and I went on stage and did the show, and it was the most incredible rush. It still is that incredible rush every night, but even more so as I am getting more and more comfortable going nuts on stage. It's making me so excited to have you guys hear the whole album. I can't wait to perform the whole thing!!! Too bad I don't have choreography for the whole thing. Maybe I'll make up my own and YouTube it with my videophone! Haha. A homemade music video? That sounds fun! I'm going to go do that right now!!!!!
Thanks again for everything, and seeing you guys out on the tour has been really amazing. Happy New Year!
xoxoAshley
