What’s up, my Alloy peeps! This past week has been absolutely crazy as we gear up for the release of Step Up 2. In my last blog, I left you with the news that I’d be doing a ton of press for the movie and that the premiere would be happening in Hollywood. Here’s a little update on those events:
Press days are always really long, but this one was really cool because I had a chance to do a little bragging about all of my fellow actors, choreographers and dancers in Step Up. The dancing and music in this movie are so innovative -- I feel really lucky to be part of it. I’m telling you…it’s hot!
Guess what stars were at the Step Up 2 premiere? Robert spills!
Hey Alloy,
I hope you're all doing well this week. As you might know, music plays a huge role in my movie, Step Up 2 The Streets. And let me tell you that the soundtrack is great -- I can't wait for you guys to hear all of the awesome songs that we have lined up in the movie! We've got some really amazing artists that are hot right now...Touchstone's timing is genius. Flo Rida's "Low" is prominent and is the number one song in the country right now -- can't ask for more!
Hey everyone, Rob Hoffman here! This is a very exciting time for me, and the fine folks at ALLOY have given me this forum to talk with you and share some of what’s going on right now.
To start at the beginning, I was born in Gainesville, Fla. My interest in dance began once I saw Michael Jackson dance, I didn't know I wanted to be a "dancer," I just knew I had to obtain what it was that he had that made his body turn into something magical when he moved to the music. So, of course I started imitating Michael's moves, and in kindergarten my mom hooked me up with an after school dance class.
What award did Rob pick up before heading to L.A.? Find out!
