Oprah Winfrey

Obviously, Oprah makes it on this list. She's freakin' Oprah, for goodness sake! The woman's already one of the most trusted, respected, and influential women in the country and, some people say, the world. Take her book club, for instance. Any book she chooses becomes a best seller virtually overnight. She's so influential that on her show about mad cow disease back in April 1996, she said "It has just stopped me cold from eating another burger!" and was sued by Texas cattlemen for allegedly turning people off meat and sending the price of meat tumbling. (She was found not guilty.) And all that doesn't even compare to her extreme generosity. We think it's too bad Oprah didn't throw her hat in this presidential race -- she'd be elected for sure.
