"Like A Virgin"

While Madonna gained notoriety with "Everybody," "Burning Up," "Holiday," "Borderline," and "Lucky Star," it was "Like A Virgin" that truly cemented her superstar status. In fact, the song was her first number one hit. Taken with her unforgettable performance at the first MTV Video Music Awards (during which she rolled on the floor in a wedding dress and "Boy Toy" belt, exposing her underwear and garter belt), it's no wonder "Like A Virgin" is one of Madonna's most memorable songs. In fact, it was named #4 on Rolling Stone and MTV's list of the "100 Greatest Pop Songs."
