Amy Winehouse
Her personal life might be shaky to say the least, but Amy Winehouse makes good with her astoundingly soulful voice. Her debut album, Frank, earned her fame and street cred in her native England, but it was her follow-up, Back To Black, that catapulted the tattoo-ed and beehive-d singer to international superstardom. Her vintage Motown sound won her won five Grammy Awards in 2008, making her the first British singer to achieve that honor and tying the record for the most wins by a female artist in a single night. We just hope that it's Amy's musical genius (not her extracurricular activities) that keeps her in the spotlight.
