Corn on the cob. Popcorn. Corndogs. None of these things make us think of nu metal band corn. There are plenty of explanations for the band's name out there, one of which is that they're named after Kern County Coroner's Department, where lead singer Jonathan Davis worked; they then stylized it by turning the K and R in Korn backward to write it like a child would. But whatever the reason, in 1993, the band formerly known as Creep changed their name to that a misspelled version of a vegetable. Go figure!
