Why We're Stoked: Indie rockers, Silversun Pickups have been around since 2005, but after getting "picked up" by MTV this year as "Artist of the Week," things will never be the same for the L.A.-based band. So will their sophomore album be more of the same sound we heard on their July 2006 debut, Carnavas? "I think, for us, the stuff that wasn't quite fleshed our of didn't fit with Carnavas will be showing up on this album," frontman Brian Aubert tells Alternative Press. "We want to bring a little warmth back and give everything more space and room to decompress." Aside from that, the band isn't quite sure what the record will be like -- ask 'em again in January and February, when they hit the studio to record it.
