It's pretty hard to get a hold of Avril Lavigne these days: the pop-punk princess has her hands full with the 3 M's -- movies, marriage, and of course, music. (Talk about complicated!) Add on the fact that her third album The Best Damn Thing hits stores April 17, and you've got one busy girl! So when we had the chance to have a super quickie chat with the sk8ter girl, you better believe that we were all for it. Here's what went down:

How would you compare this album to your other albums?
I'm so excited about this album. It's fun, playful, up beat. My last record was darker. This record has a very different vibe. I had so much fun making this record.

How have you changed since Under My Skin, musically and personally?
Three years has passed since I did Under My Skin. I think it's very natural to grow in all areas of your life over such a time period. I'm in a very different place in my life now than I was then.

What's your favorite song on the album?
One of my favorite songs is "I Can Do Better."

You broke into acting last year -- any plans to do more movies?
I would definitely like to do more movies. It's important to me to find the right script. There's one in particular that I hope to do at the end of this year… (Editor's note: Avril wouldn't say which movie role she's eyein' -- a girl's gotta hold her cards close, ya know?)

What was your favorite scene to film in the "Girlfriend" video?
I had a great time making this video -- it was all so much fun. I played three different characters: a brunette, a redhead, and me as a performer. I enjoyed riding the go-karts.
