Smoosh
Asya and Chloe are normal sisters. They do homework, play soccer, and fight over clothes. That is, when they're not hanging out backstage with Pearl Jam and Death Cab for Cutie. No, they're not groupies! Asya, 13, and Chloe, 11, play in a band called Smoosh. The Seattle chicks combine their natural talent (Asya started writing songs at age six) and luck (Chloe's drum teacher is Death Cab drummer, Jason McGerr), and it's a winning combo. They released their first album, She Like Electric, last September, and they're already working on a new one. So, why does Chloe love Christmas? Get the scoop from one of the Smoosh sisters now!
What bothers you most about being a girl?
Nothing bothers me about being a girl. I like standing out as a girl drummer.
What do you like most about being a girl?
I like it that girls have so much more creative things to do with their style, and boys only wear jeans and a tee shirt. I can't imagine being a boy. I wouldn't like it.
What's the one thing you regret throwing away?
My Spanish [assignment] that I threw away when I wasn't supposed to. I thought [my teacher] told me!
