Alex M. of Laguna Beach

You know Alex M. as the girl who was stuck in the messy love triangle with Jason and Jessica on the second season of Laguna Beach. But forget about the high school drama, 'cause Alex has started a whole new chapter of her career. Since she left Laguna behind for L.A. (where she now lives with Alex H.), Alex has been working on her post-Laguna plans -- launching her music career! We know what you're thinking -- another reality star trying to capitalize on her fame. But Alex (who's now 19 years old) joined the cast of Laguna to break into the music biz. "I watched how [everyone from] first season got so much exposure, and I looked at the show as a great opportunity to get my face out there," she says. "I�m not just trying to come off a reality show and decide to go into music -- I�ve wanted to do this my entire life!" Alex's planned path to fame worked. While on the show, Alex got her onscreen singing debut when she sang at the "Fight The Slide" benefit. Fast-forward to 2006: Alex's debut album drops on June 27. What bothers you most about being a girl?
I love all that girly stuff, like dressing up and [playing with] make-up, hair, and accessories. [We get to] get all dolled up, and guys don't really have [the chance to do] that.

What do you like most about being a girl?
We're a lot more sensitive than guys are, and being too sensitive ruins things sometimes.
