What books would you recommend for summer reading?
There's a new Sarah Dessen book out right now. I would love for them to go and pick up a copy of my latest, which is Handle With Care. It has a great fifteen-year-old narrator in it. If I Stay is the other one I think my daughter really loves. The book I read that I fell in love with when I was a kid was Gone With the Wind, which is probably not summer reading for a lot of girls nowadays, but it was the one that really made me want to be a writer.

Which of your other books would you want to see on the big screen?
Nineteen Minutes. I want a director or studio to call me right away. That's the one that needs to be made into a movie.
