How have your characters changed from the first Sisterhood? What's different this time around?
Blake Lively: In the first movie we were in high school. This is the first year after college and our first time being a part from our friends. My character has been running away from her problems -- the underlying one is her mom's death -- and she comes to realize that's the big problem in her life. She finds out to become an adult, she needs to deal with her past.
Amber Tamblyn: My character is dealing with avoidance and intimacy issues. She's becoming this young neurotic girl who has a problem with relationships. So we track through her first real relationship and see her being really self-absorbed. It's all about the end of your teens and beginning of your 20s, when you're just trying to figure out who you are.
