Before the hard partying, before the custody battles, before the panty-less pictures, Britney Spears was "that girl" that every up-and-coming pop star hoped to be compared to. Being called "the next Britney" was a pretty solid stamp of approval. But nowadays, it's anything but. And if Britney doesn't change her current path, she might just become the next Courtney Love -- they both lost their kids because of their partying, they both had great music careers that got shadowed by controversy, and they both are total train wrecks.
