Presidential Pick

John Mayer knows how to make girls faint with his gee-tar playing, but what does this kid know about politics? Nada. But that's not stopping him from schooling Democratic presidential hopeful Senator John Edwards in the youth of America. At Time magazine's 100 party (which celebrated J. Mayer and 99 of the other "most influential" people in the world), the singer offered the senator some advice on connecting with the younger generation. "He was talking about the language of young people, his generation," Edwards tells New York magazine. "He basically said, 'You've got to get me in the first twenty seconds. I watch movies on YouTube, and if they're 25 seconds long, they're five seconds too long.'" Edwards liked Mayer's advice so much that he set up another meeting with him. Edwards-Mayer for President 2008? Hey, you never know.
