For months, the press has been on Jennifer Hudson-overdrive. And what's the most popular interview topic for the new Oscar winner, besides Beyoncé? American Idol, of course. But while Jennifer says that Simon Cowell was verbally abusive to her on the show, the case is quite the opposite -- Simon was actually a fan! Extra rewound the tapes from season 3 to hear what Simon had to say about Jennifer -- and it was mostly all positive! Simon said Jennifer was "great," and that she had "proven why she was in the final 5" -- he even called her the season's frontrunner! And when Jennifer was voted off by the show's viewers, Simon was shocked and said, "Tongue -- floor." Only once did Simon give Jennifer a bad review, but it was for her weakest performance. (Pretty amazing, considering the source.) Hmmm -- it's pretty hard to sing when you've got your foot in your mouth, Jennifer.
