Wait -- why don't you have a TV?
Over the last couple of years, I've been traveling so much [that] I don't really have time to sit down and watch television. I stay connected and staying tuned in through other sources of media. [Also,] I never care for a presence of a television in the room. Even when it's not on, it drains electricity.

Fair enough. So you'd never seen the show…
…so they sent me the pilot, and I watched it one night. By the end of it, I was just in love with her. I was like, "This is just the best show in television." I worked on the song that night and said, "Well, if anything it's a song writing challenging. I'll send it in and see what happens." And they really enjoyed it!
