Dad's Dirty Deeds
We're glad Avril Lavigne is still celebrating her wedding from this weekend, but we have a feeling Nick Lachey is really celebrating the fact that his marriage is finally over. According to the New York Daily News, Jessica's dad, Joe Simpson, has reportedly been up to his old tricks again -- micromanaging his daughter's life and driving his ex son-in-law nuts in the process. Word is Joe was eager to spy on Nick so he could dig up some dirt to make sure his daughter's fortune remained intact. "Joe called [a club that Nick was at with Vanessa Minnillo] after hearing [that they were] there and demanded to see the security videotape," claims a source with the paper. "Joe was looking to incriminate Nick. He told the club, 'If you ever want to see my daughter there, you'll give me what I want.'" Needless to say, the club said no way, the Simpson camp is swimmin' down the river of denial, and it looks like Nick doesn't care either way and is ready to take his new romance public. With all this family drama, we can't wait see what happens once Ashlee finally ties the knot!
