This week, we heard rumors that two of our fave celebs, Leighton Meester and Katy Perry, were engaged. (Not to each other, that is.) Problem is, neither story is true!

While the New York Post reported that Leighton and her BF Sebastian Stan (who she met on the set of Gossip Girl) announced on their "secret" Facebook pages that they're altar-bound, Sebastian's rep says it's not true. In fact, the Facebook pages are fake, too.

And as for KP, the New York Daily News reported that Travis McCoy followed up on the promise ring with some engagement bling in Paris. "The rapper popped the question recently in Paris by kissing Perry with a massive ring in his mouth," the paper incorrectly reported. Both Travis and Katy's peeps say the story is bogus, and even Katy got on the denial train, making a post on her blog that said, "NOT engaged! But thanks for the free press New York Daily News! You should fact check with the source before you spread worldwide news like that."
